Yellow River, first published in 1949, is a specialized academic publication in water resources science and technology. It is administered by the Ministry of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China and sponsored by the Yellow River Conservancy Commission. As one of the earliest scientific and technological journals in China’s water resources sector, its mission is to disseminate scientific and technological achievements in Yellow River management, promote academic discussions, and serve the scientific management of the Yellow River. The journal’s International Standard Serial Number is ISSN 1000-1379, its Chinese Standard Serial Number is CN 41-1128/TV, and it is published monthly.

The journal focuses on publishing new ideas, research advances, breakthroughs and explorations related to the protection and management of the Yellow River, as well as cutting-edge theories and technologies in water resources science. It introduces advanced technologies from both China and abroad, advocates for sustainable development, and actively promotes the exchange and application of water resources science and technology.
